Happy New Year from Emily and Sorensen Dressage!
We have lots of new faces, both horse and human, at Wyvern Farm, but we'd like to see you, too!
Join us at Wyvern Farm on Sunday, January 11th at 9:30 for our first Opening Training Day with Emily. She will be riding three horses in the morning and have a break for lunch and discussion. Meet the horses:
Kajima- Arab gelding owned by Bronwyn, training/1st level
Romeo- 10 year old, Dutch gelding owned by Liz L., 3rd level
WF Syrano- 9 year old, Dutch gelding owned by Emily, I-1
With these horses, Emily will be able to show the progression from lower levels to upper levels. What remains consistent in how these three horses are ridden and what changes as they go up the levels? Where am I with my horse in this journey and what do I need to do to move towards FEI? How do you ask for a flying change? Or a walk-trot transition? When do you start introducing the double bridle?
Come and watch, discuss, ask questions and get answers! This event is free to attend! We'd love to make this a monthly event, so if you can't attend this time, check back for our February date!

Sandy Howard Clinic at Wyvern Farm
We are thrilled to have Sandy for two days, Saturday and Sunday, January 17-18 for a riding clinic. The clinic is full, but auditing is available. $20/day or $30 for both days. This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest in biomechanics and training. Not to be missed!

*Though Emily's training sessions are always open for the public to watch, we'd like to have an official day to invite the public to our farm! We would like to announce our first Open Training Session with Emily. We invite you to Wyvern Farm on Sunday, January 11 for a day of dressage education and fun! Emily will be demonstrating her approaches to dressage with the help of her horses as well as her students in training. Food and drinks will be provided. Come join us, enjoy the day, and learn about what makes our program succeed! More details to come as the day nears! Be sure to check back on our news page for updates.
*Recently, Wyvern Farm has opened up the box stalls in the lower barn to be very comfortable, oversized accommodations for your horse. The stalls now measure approx 12'x16' and 12'x24'. These stalls are very nice, located very close to the tack room, and just across the aisle from the covered arena. Winter will be a breeze! I-1 62.25% This was Syrano's first time showing since 2nd level in 2005! He was fantastic in this test and though they had small mistakes, this is a horse to keep an eye on in the future! Go Syrano!

Emily and Syrano had the privilege to participate in a clinic with George Williams at Greenville Equestrian Center. Emily was very pleased with Syrano's focus and work ethic and they got very good advice from Mr. Williams.

Cris and Emily made their FEI debut at I-1 at Denville Kanani. They put in a very solid performance and were rewarded with a 66.5% from judge Mary Grace Davidson!
