XO is the dream of every dressage rider. His work ethic and focus on the rider in all situations is absolutely unbeatable. He moved up the levels without a moment of hesitation or difficulty in learning the exercises. I began showing him in 2016 at 4th level, and he’s been been consistently competitive through the levels in open classes, breaking 70% at each level, including Grand Prix.

XO’s specialties are in the most difficult aspects of the Grand Prix (piaffe, passage, and pirouettes), but he also has powerful extended gaits and an overall rideability that make him a super talented prospect for a professional to continue on with to CDI competition. His temperament is suitable even to a serious adult amateur, or Jr/YR. He’s very, very safe and brave, but he’s an ambitious and sensitive horse to ride.

As his name would imply, XO is a very sweet guy, that bonds with his person. He’s never missed a day of work. He’s never been sick, unsound, or required time off for any reason. He’s well-traveled and well-known in the NW, and loves competing in the busier, bigger venues. The more people around, the better!
